- Summary
Supreme Master Qing Hai tells a story about a man living in Buddha’s time who had no eyes, ears, nose or tongue. What merits did he earn to be born into a wealthy and noble family? And what bad karma had caused him to be born without five sense organs? Supreme Master points out that it’s not easy for us to be a good man or to keep our level of integrity and cleanness in this world. We are sometimes subject to bad influences, frustrations and threats which may lead to our loss of moralities. Nevertheless, this is the trap of this world, so (for which) we should still be careful (have to take heed to). What would (do) we practice for if it was (’s) so easy to live in this world?
