Highlights:
Supreme Master Qing Hai tells a Buddhist story about A Purely Tolerant Princess. What caused the Purely Tolerant Princess to be so utterly ugly? Why did the prince in the nearby country determinedly marry her while all the male descendants of the nobility in the country went abroad to avoid marrying her? When the prince finally couldn’t bear with her appearance and others’ mockery and decided to divorce her, how did Shakyamuni Buddha help the housebound princess and changed her appearance? Why did the prince decide to practice diligently with the princess for morality and spititual merits?
Supreme Master pointed out that spiritual practitioners should not ask for material benefits. It’s better to let them come naturally, and it doesn’t matter if they do not come. The most important is our sincerity for the Tao and a constant care of our virtues, and then the outside will turn well naturally. Just as Jesus said: seek you first the kingdom of God and everything else shall be added on to you. It’s truly like that.
