  • Summary

The Guan Yin Method is the best method; it is the method to become Buddha, and the method to get liberation  in one lifetime. But many people do not want to learn  the Guan Yin Method. They do not like to be vegetarian,  meditate,  seek wisdom, or attain  Buddhahood. So  Supreme Master Ching Hai also teaches the methods  to obtain  blessings, thus to reduce their karma and make their lives more pleasant.  Supreme Master Ching Hai pointed out that there are a couple of ways to obtain  blessings. The easiest one is to find a great spiritual practitioner, and serve him, make offerings to him, and respect him. You may take his photos back  home to worship. If you believe that he will save you. He will definitely do so. He will take some, or lots of our karma. Our troubles will be reduced. When we are in danger, he will surely  come to help us. We do not need to make a lot of offerings to him, . It is our sincerity that makes the difference, not the amount of money. The more sincere we are, the more blessings we’ll get.

Some saints practice at higher levels. Even if we do  not make  offerings to him, we may still get  blessings. If our hearts believe his words, if we think of  him every day, pray to  him for  help when we are in difficulties, trust and respect him, then we will also get a great deal of help. If his  level of practice is very high, he will appear to help us. This  also depends on our sincerity. Only by sincerity can this work. When we are sincere, our ego  will be reduced, the wall of ignorance will crack, and we will see many different realms or the real phenomena. The Buddha, Bodhisattva, and saints do not necessarily need our gratefulness to them. But the more we are grateful to, recognize  and trust them, the more blessings we have.
